Horse riding at home of the famous Haflinger horses:
the most beautyful race course of Europe: Maia race - course, near the centre of Merano, offers a great areal of 40 ha., a racing school with an equestrian center and polo place. More information www.centroequestremerano.it, www.meranomaia.it Many other equestrian centres offer rides with the famous 'Haflinger' horses to explore the wonderful surroundings . We suggest a horse coach for a unique experience and an exciting fun.

• On Easter Monday the traditional Bauerngalopprennen (the farmers' race) with the popular Haflinger horses,
• the Maia October Festival (Maia Oktoberfest 2006)
• the classical "Grand Prix of Merano", international steeplechase, racecours over 5000 metres combined to the National Lottery.

Tennis
Tennis enthusiastics will find the best at the Merano Tennis Club: situated in the Meranarena near the center of Meran, with 14 tennis courts, (six are heated indoor clay courts -open year-round) with evening illumination. Mountainbiking
Meran and its marvellous surroundings are biker’s paradise: route-maps and experienced guides help to discover the tracks across the high Alpine pastures full of unforgettable adventures. Paragliding

Rafting & Canoe rides
adrenalinpower and adventure: wild temperament and challenge offers the river Passerof Meran from mid-April when the snow is melting - until the ends of October. Exciting rides on the river (from moderate to difficult) in special rubber dinghies are guided with experts of the A.I.Raf. (Italian Rafting Association) and requires only to be able to swim. Nordic Walking
Nordic walking unite joy, fun and outdoor moving and it is getting very popular and attracts more and more fans. Moving accros vineyards and orchards following pathways and forestry tracks, flowery or green meadows, through woods, nature lovers and sport enthusaistics are spoilt.
Four Parcours long 26 km for beginners and vetereans lead throug Meran, Dorf Tirol, Schenna, Riffian, Kuens and in Naturns you will find 5 Nordic Walking Routes 30 km.

Minigolf
an enjoyable pastime for young and old, a paradise for friends of Minigolf, to enjoy playing until the late evening is the Mini-golf in the city center of Meran next to the Marconi park, Franz – Innerhofer Straße - 39012 Meran Phone+39 333 398 2074 You can tray also other facilities as table tennis, table football and find restore at a small bar.
