Holidays in Meran

Kurstadt Meran within roses...
is a famous, elegant South Tyrolean health resort with a historic town centre, 324 metres above sea-level. Eternal snow and rock knolls look into subtropical garden paradises, these favourable climatic conditions made Meran since the middle of the last century become a spa, a place of unforgettable eras. The famous promenades, the cure-spa promenade, Passer promenade, winter promenade, Gilf promenade and particularly the Tappeiner trail, invite to walk under flowers and blossoms and to marvel the exotic and Mediterranean flora.

Exploring Meran is one of the great pleasures of the holiday. The city centre, but also the surroundings contain various art historical treasures and certificates of the past. The quaint medieval centre, from the 13th century, when Meran was the capital of the Tyrol, has many sights of artistic and historic interest: romantic castles, ancient Romanesque and Gothic churches with rare frescos, statues and intricate carved altarpieces, interesting museums, beautiful Art Nouveau Spa buildings, villas, a modern art gallery and the famous arch alley of Meran. There you find wonderful shops, which invite you to shop and stroll, a diversified Shopping experience with fun.
